San Francisco, June 20, 2006 — SPL WorldGroup, a leading provider of strategic utility management solutions to the global utility market, announced today that The United Illuminating Company (UI) has selected the SPL Outage Management System (SPL OMS) to better serve its 320,000 customers in Connecticut.

UI, which is already a user of SPL’s Mobility Workforce Management (MWM) software, is implementing both the core and operations SPL OMS functionality, including model management, storm management, trouble management, and performance mart.  Additionally, UI will be implementing the full set of standard reports and executive dashboard.
