Smart Metering Solution Consultant

The responsibility in this role is to work with clients, the local sales organization as well as the product management group to advise on the adoption of smart metering projects within Europe.

Your role in the Pre-Sales Phase

  • Pre-sales activities in close cooperation with the local sales, take part in customer process analysis and workshops
  • Train our local Sales experts to increase the understanding of AMM
  • Representation of customer interests and upcoming market demands based on business case towards Product Management

Your role in the Bid Management Phase

  • Support our local sales organizations regarding solution sales
  • Solution design according to customer needs, network architecture planning and tender support
  • Definition of acquisition strategies for technical solution, implementation, maintenance and operational models
  • Presentation, tender support, project specific consulting regarding solution introduction, cost efficient network concepts and service operations
  • Design and document operational concepts and related processes and responsibilities
  • Representation of customer interests and upcoming market demands based on business case towards Product Management
  • Proactive risk management and problem solving
  • Reporting and feedback: make findings of solution relevant to internal organizations (Product Management, R&D)
  • Enable and ensure efficient handover to execution

Your role in the Deployment Phase

  • Consulting / support / advice regarding designed solution to ensure efficient implementation and acceptance

Your Skills & Knowledge

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, IT or Communications
  • Profound knowledge and experience in technical sales combined with several years broad experience in solution design and implementations of complex projects in an international environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Influential communicator and good listener (can interpret customer needs)
  • Extensive experience within a multi-cultural environment
  • Team player and creative thinker
  • Self motivated individual with strong customer interaction
  • Willingness to travel
