Jamaica’s electric utility Jamaica Public Service Company has selected Trilliant Incorporated to provide a complete AMI solution to support approximately 6,000 priority C&I customers across the island.

The implementation will consist of Trilliant SerViewCom® Data Acquisition and Processing Platform in combination with CellReader® Advanced Communications Modules integrated with Itron SENTINEL® meters. This combination will support realtime detection of metering anomalies and tampering, detection of service outages particularly related to major tropical storms, and timeliness and accuracy of customer billing.

The solution should enable JPS to improve service levels while enhancing its revenue assurance programmes.
