The 1st Global Metering Partnership and Opportunities Tour 2007, entitled “Advanced Metering, AMR China Market Study Tour”, will incorporate the 1st metering conference and exhibition for the Chinese metering market, taking place in Shanghai, China from June 4 – 8, 2007.
According to the World Water Meter Report Edition 5 2006, there are 693 million water meters in the world, with a total demand of 70 million water meters (both new and replacement meters) including the large Chinese market. Global demand is expected to rise to 101 million meters by 2011 if China is included, with the rest of the world needing 34 million meters.
Because of the increased global interest in the Chinese metering market, Metering International and Metering International China have scheduled a series of tours in China during 2007.
The three tours, which will take place in June, September and October, have been designed to focus on specific areas and the unique opportunities that this untapped market offers.
The first tour in the series, Advanced Metering, AMR China Market Study Tour, kicks off on June 4 and will be co-located with the 1st Metering China 2007 conference and exhibition.
The tour will include visits to some of the largest meter manufacturers in China, as well as exclusive opportunities to conduct face-to-face meetings with key decision-makers. In addition the 1st Metering China Conference and Exhibition will provide an ideal platform to network and gain access to this emerging market.
The tour focuses on China's most influential markets – Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai and Hangzhou – and will run from 4 - 8 June 2007. Space is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis.
