Jim Dixon, currently General Counsel for ConEdison Solutions, has been named Vice President of Energy Services at the energy service company. A seasoned executive with more than 20 years of varied energy industry experience, he will be responsible for developing and delivering energy-based performance contracts and demand-side energy solutions for government, institutional, commercial and industrial clients.
Jim Dixon joined ConEdison Solutions in January 2004 as Vice President and General Counsel, with responsibilty for all aspects of the company's legal needs. Before joining ConEdison Solutions he held positions of increasing responsibility at the Consolidated Edison Company of New York as an electrical engineer in its construction, operations and engineering design organizations.
He also was an attorney in Con Edison's Law Department Nuclear Regulatory and Commercial Litigation Services sections, eventually attaining the position of Assistant Corporate Secretary.
Dixon is a registered professional engineer in New York State and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College and a law degree from New York Law School.
He is admitted to practice law in New York, the District of Columbia and several federal courts. He also is a member of the New York State Bar Association and serves on its Public Utility Committee.
