Itron Inc. has announced that Kim Pearman-Gillman will join the company as vice president, marketing, on October 3. She is currently senior vice president, Avista Development, at Avista Corporation. 

PJM Interconnection, formed to ensure the reliability of the high voltage power system serving 51 million people in 14 US states, has announced realigned responsibilities for five of its executives. Thomas L Welch becomes vice president – external affairs; Michael J Kormos becomes senior vice president – reliability services; Karl V Pfirrmann has been appointed senior vice president in charge of the development of PJM’s second control centre; and Toby Mannheimer was promoted to senior vice president – corporate services. All; five will report to Audrey A Zibelman, executive vice president and COO. 

Rob Stewart has started his own business, Smart Building Services Pty. Ltd based in Queensland, Australia. The company will focus on submetering and billing solutions for electricity, water, hot water, chilled water and heat. He serves as technical director. 

Powel-MiniMax, software solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Joseph Schmidt as national sales manager for North America. He has worked with a range of companies that specifically serve the utility industry. 

US utility Cinergo Corp. has appointed James L Turner as president. He will be responsible for all regulated operations, as well as corporate development and strategic planning activities.  

Datamatic Ltd. Has announced the appointment of George W Douglass III as vice president of the water division. He was previously with the Thomas Group. He assumes former water division vice president Bob Cofoid’s responsibilities – Cofoid takes over the role of vice president, strategic accounts.
