The UK Department for International Development (DFID) has issued a tender to support rural water and sanitation systems in the East African country of Tanzania.The request for proposals seeks independent data verification and strengthening of information management systems as part of the Tanzanian government’s 20 year Water Sector Development Programme (WSDP), which encompasses rural and urban water supply and sanitation, water resources management and strengthening of sector institutions and systems.

Tanzania wants to utilise the data and information management system to support developed GPS-based Water Point Mapping System (WPMS) and web-based National Sanitation Management Information System (NSMIS) to inform planning and budgeting.

Deadline for submission of proposals will be 18 January, 2016 and call for competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved.
