Atlanta, GA., USA --- (METERING.COM) --- August 28, 2006 – Fixed network communications provider Cellnet has today announced that its AMR agreement with Kansas-based water utility, Water One, has delivered measurable results.

The agreement called for the deployment of automated metering services to over 12,000 of WaterOne’s commercial and industrial customers. The utility has since been able to reduce meter reading and operational expenses, while its ability to monitor water consumption has been enhanced, thanks to the immediate water usage data offered by Cellnet’s wireless fixed network meter reading technology.

According to WaterOne’s General Manager Mike Armstrong: “Our program with Cellnet has given us on-demand access to consumption data for our key commercial and industrial customers and has helped us control operating costs”.

Cellnet President and CEO Mike Zito later added: “We delivered on time and on budget to WaterOne, and we take ongoing satisfaction in helping them reduce operating costs while improving customer service.”
