For the sixth year in succession Atlanta-based Southern Company has been rated highest in customer satisfaction among electricity utilities in the American Customer Satisfaction Index survey of residential customers representing 30 gas and electricity utilities across the US.

The ACSI survey is a national economic indicator of customer evaluations of the quality of products and services available to households. Southern Company tied for fourth place among all companies evaluated in the 2005 first quarter survey. The energy company, which has over 4 million electricity and gas customers in four states, says that it is constantly working to improve its relationship with customers while providing outstanding service, high reliability and competitive prices.
