Landis+Gyr and NxtPhase Corporation have signed an agreement for co-operative sales and marketing of a high accuracy revenue metering system, made up of NxtPhase optical sensors used with Landis+Gyr high accuracy MAXsys 2510 meters. Designed mainly for substation and high-end direct access applications, the MAXsys 2510 meter provides direct revenue accuracy measurement of per-phase watt-hours, varhours, volthours and amphours with 1-second updating. It also calculated 3-phase values for volts, amps, watts and vars. With multiple communication ports, the meter can act as an intelligent electronic device (IED), power quality monitor and revenue meter.
NxtPhase optical sensors are available in a range of transmission voltages from 115kV to 500kV. They offer more accu4rate digital information, broader dynamic range, wider bandwidth, improved safety and environmental benefits compared with conventional technologies. The two companies believe that the collaborative initiatives outlined in their agreement will allow them to offer customers a complete solution for reliable revenue metering.
