These solutions are an important element on the way to the digitalised energy and utilities industry”, explains Alexander Lehmann, Managing Director of the Minol-ZENNER Group.

The company produces approximately 3 million gas meters annually.

Alfa Centauri supplies remote reading technology for smart gas meters. The company also offers its customers services in the sectors of remote meter reading, data management and consumption settlement as well as the remote reading and administration of gas tanks.

Besides France, the UK and the Netherlands, Italy is also one of the few major EU markets to decide in favour of the obligatory introduction of intelligent gas meters. Several million smart gas meters have already been installed to date. Experience from this rollout, in which Alfa Centauri played an important planning role, has been integrated successfully into the company’s product development.
