Swedish energy utility PiteEnergi has purchased an automatic meter reading system from Enermet, to be installed for all its customers. The system consists of Enermet's AIM (Active Information Management) solution, metering and communication devices and training, as well as AIM Setup – a tool to assist the utility with installation.
The AIM hardware solution is based on Enermet's E120 integrated meter family, which uses the electricity network, LAN and GPRS for data transfer. E120M is a new product which uses the medium voltage network for communication. This technology is based on the well-known medium voltage platform, but integrates the terminal and meter function into a single communicating meter product.
System delivery will start immediately, and will continue to the end of 2007.
