German manufacturer GÖRLITZ AG has signed a contract for the distribution of volume converters and gas meters with the Danish manufacturer Flonidan. In so doing GÖRLITZ has been able to extend its activities with products to collect and process consumption data for the gas sector.

The gas network access ordinance (GasNZV) has been effective since July 2005, and has made new demands on grid operators with regard to the continuous collection and hourly recording of consumption data. Cost-effective devices which can be flexibly implemented are needed to collect this data from medium-sized commercial and industrial customers in particular, while communication properties, as well as a sound systemic integration, are essential to process the data collected.

Starting at the measuring point with logging devise, continuing with communication and remote reading and concluding with the energy data management system EDW3000, GÖRLITZ now offers products in the gas sector for the entire process chain, from the meter to the billing system.
