Zug, Switzerland --- (METERING.COM) --- October 5, 2007 – As part of its advanced metering management (AMM) solution AIM, Landis+Gyr has introduced an innovative new application called AIM Dashboard, which ensures that metering information is available quickly and easily. Kainuun Energia, a Finnish energy company that is part of the E.ON Group, is one of the first to have introduced AIM Dashboard, finding the tool practical and efficient.
AIM Dashboard is a web-based application for searching, viewing and controlling customers’ metering and other information. The graphic interface gives easy access to metering information stored in the AIM database, without requiring previous knowledge of the advanced metering management (AMM) solution.
Kainuun Energia is one of the frontrunners in implementation of AMM in Finland. They recognize that metering data can be used for various other customer services and business development needs – not only for billing.
“AIM Dashboard brings AMM to a totally new level. The use of metering information is considerably enhanced because metering data is always available for all parties in need of it,” states Jari Rusanen, metering manager from Kainuun Energia. “AIM Dashboard is a real power tool for customer service but it also makes automatic meter reading visible for management and gives tools for close follow-up. Also confidentially issues are taken into consideration, as different user rights and profiles can easily be created.”
For customer service AIM Dashboard brings greater efficiency through improved information sharing. The latest metering information like measured values, relay statuses and power quality is available at all times. Online meter reading, as well as controlling functions like connection of boilers, heating elements, lightning etc., can be done via AIM Dashboard too.
“AIM Dashboard is also a great tool for energy company management to follow and analyse product sales summaries in graphical format. It refines mass data into simple at-a-glance overview reports,” states Paula Ala-Nojonen, network director from Kainuun Energia.
