Singapore --- (METERING.COM) --- December 12, 2007 - Modifications have been proposed by Singapore’s Energy Market Authority (EMA) to the nation’s Metering Code to facilitate the connection of embedded generation to the grid and to grant net treatment on non-reserve charges for embedded generators which are not exporting electricity into the grid.

Key changes proposed include the inclusion of generation settlement facilities with capacities less than 1 MW and the provision of suitable metering equipment with bidirectional flow measurement capability.

Comments on the proposed Code changes must be submitted to the EMA by January 11, 2008.
