Koat Baharu, Malaysia --- (METERING.COM) --- May 7, 2010 - The Kelantan chapter of Malaysia’s largest power company, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), is to expand its Office bill (O-bill) system based on automated meter reading (AMR) statewide.

The company’s customer service and marketing manager, Mohd Jamil Che Seman, was quoted in the local press as saying that the new system was introduced to about 80,000 households two months ago and has proven effective to both TNB and the customers, and accordingly its use will be expanded.

With the O-bill system the monthly manual reading of meters would be stopped and bills based on the automated meter reads would be posted to customers every two months.
