Japan’s Agency for Natural Resources and Energy has announced a plan to offer the country’s expertise in energy saving methods to rapidly-growing Asian economies. Experts will visit countries such as India, China and Indonesia to discuss those techniques and methods that have worked in Japan, and to assist with their implementation in the other Asian countries.

The agency says that Japan is such an efficient user of energy that the amount of oil needed to produce a specified profit in Japan is a ninth of the amount used in China. China is now the second highest consumer of energy worldwide, and India is ranked fourth.
