ElectriQ Power
Mattany Homes

An energy storage pilot has been launched in the US state of Arizona by storage solutions provider ElectriQ Power and homebuilder Mattany Homes.

Mattany Homes is deploying the solution providers integrated home energy management and energy storage system IQ System, at their new Haven community in Phoeniz, Arizona.

The IQ System will provide consumers with real time status regarding onsite energy generation, grid status, weather forecasts, electric vehicle charging and energy storage systems.

The system will enable consumers to access historical energy use records to identify energy efficiency potentials and optimise management of back-up power and monthly energy costs.

ElectriQ will also provide an IoT platform to enable interoperability of the company’s IQ System with smart home appliances including thermostats, refrigerators, hot water heaters, smart plugs, and EV chargers.

Interoperability with smart home appliances will enable the provision of energy usage data at appliance level, to unlock additional energy efficiency savings.

Subhi Alsayed, VP of Sustainable Development at Mattany Homes, commented: "The goal of our newly-formed relationship with ElectrIQ Power is to learn how the storage technology can be used to deliver innovative and sustainable homes that can aid us in building communities of the future. Our goal is to be able to build homes that can mitigate demand charges, provide grid services and are more resilient to grid outages."
