Turkey's largest city Istanbul will host the third International Smart Grid Congress and Fair 

The International Istanbul Smart Grid Congress and Fair (ICSG) 2015 taking place on April 29 and 30, 2015 will gather leading speakers from smart grid associations and meter communication alliances as well as smart energy experts. 

Sponsored by the Republic of Turkey and Ministry of Economy, the event is now in its third year and will welcome governmental and bureaucratic delegations from the USA, UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, Denmark, Spain, the CIS Countries, the Central and Eastern African Countries, Latin American Countries as well as Middle Eastern countries.

Smart grid event speakers

Conference presenters at ICSG 2015 include Mustafa Yilmaz, chairman of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Turkey; HE Fikri Isik, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey; and HE Taner Yildiz, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey.

John McDonald, an advisor to the White House; Gianluca Fulli, the Smart Grid Project Leader for the European Commission; and Prof. Dr. Omer USTA, the Chairperson for IEEE PES Turkey Chapter, will also address participants as keynote speakers.

Other speakers include Marc Delandre, the Secretary General for G3 PLC Alliance; Patrick Turnbull, the chairman of the Global Smart Grid Federation and chairman of Smart Grid Ireland; Mark Ossel, the Board Member and Treasurer at OSGP and Mohammed Al Ta'ani, the General Manager of Arab Renewable Energy Commission.

Government representatives will also hosting a 'Procurement Committee Program' at ICSG 2015.

Smart grid event details

The 3rd International Istanbul Smart Grid Congress and Fair will be held at Halic Congress Center, Istanbul on April 29 and 30, 2015, and is expected to be attended by some 5,000 industry representatives from over 50 countries including international metrology and standardization bodies, international smart grid NGOs, electricity, water and gas meter manufacturers and importers, GSM operators and smart building companies.
