IP data subscription from Australia
UNIDATA (Australia) a company experienced in low power data acquisition systems, has released Crossramp, its latest development in remote monitoring and metering applications.
A dedicated Internet Protocol (IP) data subscription service, Crossramp is suited to a range of services, including utility metering. It provides field units (XRTs) that connect to data loggers and instruments, and these field terminals collect the data and forward it to Crossramp servers. Crossramp uses the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), which offers data rates of between 14.4 and 56 Kbps.
It is an IP system that is ‘always on’, providing a constant Internet connection. UNIDATA has taken advantage of this feature to build a system that allows customers to harvest data via the Internet at any time from the Crossramp field terminals. A satellite data network option is also available.
