SPL WorldGroup Inc., a provider of mission-critical software solutions for the global utility market, has announced the opening of new offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, furthering its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region to meet growing demand. SPL’s expanded regional presence complements the company’s existing offices in Australia.

Gartner, a leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, estimates that utility industry software spending in the Asia-Pacific region will top $200 million by 2007, and SPL itself believes that the current annual utility licence spend in the area is close to $100 million for business areas addressed by SPL solutions. These encompass the full customer lifecycle for energy, water and service companies, including SPL® Customer Care & Billing, SPL Outage Management System and SPL Distribution Management systems.
