Today sees the launch of an invitation-only, free to attend summit for utility executives looking to create new business value from data, utilizing the latest trends in analytics.
Many of America’s most respected and innovative utilities will be gathering this November 14-15th at the ACE Convention Center to talk about their current analytics initiatives, and their plans for the future.
PECO, the host utility, will be joined by ComEd, ConEd, Oncor, PG&E, Sempra Energy, Southern California Edison, CenterPoint, Southern Company, Tennessee Valley Authority, PJM Interconnection, TXU Energy, Duke Energy, PSEG and NRG as they share their experience of delivering big data and analytics programs for their utilities.
Renowned big data and analytics expert John F. Elder will also join the program as a keynote speaker to give illustrations of how other industries are employing analytics to create amazing business value. Representatives from the California PUC, Siemens and Sensus will also add their expertise to the program.
The event is not only distinguished by its line-up of industry heavy-hitters though. It is also being offered free to utility executives who apply to join the summit, where they meet simple criteria, such as their intent to deploy new data and analytics programs in the near future.
The organizers, Synergy Events, who also organize Europe’s largest and longest running utility event, Metering Europe, have advised that free places are limited though. Mark Walker, Program Director for the summit says, “We want to keep the summit small enough that everyone can get to know each other, understand one another’s key challenges, and collaborate easily during the two days. This means we have to keep numbers to 100 maximum, and so have to operate a first come, first served policy.”
