September 8, 2010 - Ecologic Analytics, a leading provider of meter data management systems (MDMS) for the Smart Grid, announced today Colorado Springs Utilities has selected the Ecologic MDMS to further enhance its local distribution network of more than 535,000 electric, gas and water endpoints for approximately 310,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Implementation of the Ecologic MDMS expands the operational capabilities and benefits of Springs Utilities' Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.

The industry-proven Ecologic MDMS will support Springs Utilities in enhancing the information available for electric, gas and water customers within Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. It also builds on the Smart Grid and conservation initiatives already underway at Springs Utilities -- including enabling Customer Energy Management and Distributed and Renewable Generation.
