Orlando, FL, U.S.A. --- (METERING.COM) --- March 23, 2010 - Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS) has selected Siemens Energy, Inc. to integrate eMeter Corporation’s EnergyIP™ meter data management system (MDMS) into the company's IT framework in order to manage the metering data acquired through a prospective advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment.

EnergyIP will be part of a larger CVPS SmartPower™ initiative that is being deployed to benefit CVPS’s 159,000 electric customers.

EnergyIP should help CVPS enable the realization of SmartPower benefits in the areas of operational efficiency, increased distribution system reliability, energy conservation and peak load management, and higher customer satisfaction.
