Snodland and Luton, England --- (METERING.COM) --- November 23, 2012 - South East Water has selected Elster to supply up to 120,000 Ajusta™ boundary boxes in the U.K. over the next three years.
 
This follows South East Water’s selection of Elster in September 2010 to supply up to 250,000 volumetric water meters with wireless automatic meter reading (AMR) systems to support its metering program.
 
South East Water supplies drinking water to 2.1 million customers in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.
 
The Ajusta™ design allows modular and scaleable boundary box implementation with minimum stock holdings, offering operational savings, yet complying with the latest Traffic Management Act legislation.
 
The Ajusta™ boundary box has great adaptability in the field, with a screw down height adjustment of 210mm allowing it to fit varying service pipe depths without sacrificing rigidity or the need to cut the guard tube on site.
 
The boundary box range will accept the majority of lids/surface boxes, giving the customer total flexibility. The bayonet design feature enables the box to be separated from the lid prior to meter installation allowing ease of connection and meter insertion.
