Warsaw, Poland --- (METERING.COM) --- June 5, 2012 - Polish energy provider TAURON, with 4 million electricity metering points, has tested Kamstrup’s RF based smart metering system for 14 days in the city of Częstochowa, demonstrating a 100 percent hit rate on meter readings – in line with the company’s requirements.

“We are seeking a cost efficient system which is able to deliver satisfactory meter reading results on a daily basis,” commented Dariusz Jeziorny, director of TAURON Dystrybucja S.A. “With these impressive results from the field test we definitely see the Kamstrup system as one of the candidates to be used for a massive rollout.”

This successful result in Częstochowa is in line with other RF field tests and completed projects around the world.
