San Diego, CA, U.S.A. --- (METERING.COM) --- January 31, 2013 - Oracle Utilities has announced the completion of several projects as well as some new ones in the United States and Japan.

Among the implementations,Atlanta-based Red Clay Consulting and Oracle have completed implementation of Red Clay’s meter-to-cash MDM solution Smart Grid ONE (SG1) powered by Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management at Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC). Notably the implementation went live in less than six months.

A number of leading utilities, including SCANA, Xcel Energy, Southern Company and Pepco Holdings, have also just completed upgrades to their operational support systems to a newer version of Oracle Utilities Network Management System.

Among the new projects Alliant Energy Corporation has selected Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer billing capabilities via a complete view of customer data. The project is unique in that it will consolidate two distinct customer information systems (CIS) and numerous supporting applications to a single integrated platform.

And in Japan Nihonkai Gas has selected Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing as a legacy system replacement to enhance its customer service and billing capabilities.Utilizing Oracle Utilities, Nihonkai Gas plans to consolidate different systems for city gas and propane gas into a single platform, as well as expand their billing rate menu and to significantly improve their rapid response service.
