Chisinau, Republic of Moldova and Warsaw, Poland --- (METERING.COM) --- February 7, 2013 - One of Poland’s largest distribution operators Energa-Operator is to deploy 310,000 ADDAX meters compliant with PRIME specifications from ADD GRUP during 2013.

The concentrators will be supplied by the Current Group. Other ADD GRUP partners in this project are ARCUS and T-matic Systems, which will take care of rollout management, logistics and the integration aspects of the project.

Notably, this is the first significant implementation of PRIME compliant meters outside of Spain. ADD GRUP has been a member of the PRIME Alliance since 2010.

Energa-Operator signed a framework agreement with ARCUS and T-matic Systems in June 2011. In 2012, under the framework agreement ARCUS GROUP supplied 109,000 ADDAX AMI meters, which use PLC based on the DLMS open protocol and S-FSK modulation. The project proved to be successful, demonstrating the full AMI functionality of the ADDAX meters, costeffective open PLC communications, remote firmware updating, remote disconnection, and tamper protection.

The current project, the largest to date in Poland’s smart grid sector, is a step forward toward the implementation of an open fully interoperable PLC solution.
